SUHAM Trust, the healthcare vertical of DHAN Foundation, envisages to build stronger communities through its innovative health interventions, addressing all age groups across all contexts. SUHAM’s response to pandemic was quick. Release of SBCC materials, posters, knowledge and awareness materials etc., ensured the member families to keep themselves safe and strong. SUHAM in collaboration with DHAN Collective ensuring the New normal practices across the member families.
Communities never imagined a day where there would be campaigns propagating ‘hand washing’, yet pandemic made it a reality. For SUHAM trust 15th October goes beyond a day of celebration. SUHAM Trust took the day to reinforce the need of Hand Washing amid the pandemic across the communities. Roundtable conferences were organized at the programme office level, handwashing demonstrations were done at the field level and across all the SUHAM Hospitals. Competitions were conducted among adolescent girl groups, e-posters were released promoting the handwashing habits. Community made vows and took pledges; resolutions were passed for inculcating the handwashing habit among all the member families.
Eight SUHAM Hospitals made Global Hand Washing day (15th Oct) into Global Hand Washing week (15th to 22nd October), demonstrating hand washing along with other preventive measures to the patients.
