DPDF Sangamam Meeting
DHAN Panchayat Development Foundation (DPDF) – registered as a subsidiary unit of DHAN Foundation – has 17 years of experience working with the panchayats. On 14th October 2020, DPDF organized first of its kind meeting with Sangamam Coordinators (Panchayat Associates) and Federation Integration aiming at establishing model Panchayats. Six Sangamam coordinators, eleven federation integrators and five members from DPDF and DHAN team have participated in the meeting.
Framework for Inception document on model panchayats, Concept seeding, Panchayat Sangamam structure across the people institutions’ member families, Collaborative efforts with the panchayats, Complimenting various departments of the panchayat at Hamlet level, Gram Panchayat level, Block level and District level for the holistic development of the communities were discussed during the meeting.
Institutional building at the panchayat level, Localizing SDGS in inception documentation, micro-planning and goal setting, Panchayat level policy and Capacity development activities for Sangamam Coordinators were enlisted as plan of action for October 2020 to September 2021.
