SUHAM Hospital Inauguration with Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
O n the auspicious day of Tamil New Year April 14, 2021, Shri.S.Visakan I.A.S, The Commissioner of Madurai City Corporation has inaugurated the SUHAM speciality hospital promoted by DHAN Foundation & SUHAM Trust.
While applauding the Oorani waterworks done by the DHAN foundation through CSR support from Hi-Tech Arai Limited at Madurai, the Commissioner has appreciated DHAN's initiative of promoting the SUHAM hospital to cater to the health requirements of the poor community.

The event was graced by the guests Shri.B.T.Bangera, The Chairman DHAN Foundation, Dr.Pugalagiri Vadamalayan, Chairman & MD, Vadamaliyan Hospital, Shri.M.P.Vasimalai, Executive Director, DHAN Foundation, Dr.R.Tulasiraj, and Padmasree.Smt.Chinnapillai.
While delivering the inaugural address through a virtual platform by Dr.Susan M.Blaustein, Founder and Executive Director, Womenstrong International, USA, she said that this initiative would be a comprehensive healthcare avenue for the poor with a strong feeling of a collective family.
Smt.Rajashree Birla, The Director, Aditya Birla Group, Mumbai has delivered the special address through a virtual platform and mentioned that this is a great milestone for the community in securing their health by establishing their own hospital with multiple facilities.
SUHAM Speciality Hospital
While recalling the growth track of SUHAM Hospital, Mr.R.Rajapandian, CEO, SUHAM Trust highlighted that the SUHAM Hospital is running in Madurai for the past 12 years. The hospital at the new building is not only a curative platform alone also seen as a 'Centre for Comprehensive Healthcare Development'. He also felicitated the doctors and functionaries of the SUHAM Hospital.
Shri.M.P.Vasimalai, Executive Director, DHAN Foundation applauded the SUHAM Trust’s effort of enabling more than three lakhs families to construct toilets with an investment of Rs.700 Crores by the community as a loan product. He also acknowledged the contributions and support from Vadamailyan Hospital and Aravind Eye Care at Madurai in conducting the camps for the poor at Madurai jointly with DHAN Foundation.
