Celebrating the initiative of Branch-Based Bank Linkages ( March Month )
F orming bank linkages form an important aspect of enabling the Kalanjiam Groups to gradually step out of poverty by opening the window of financial assistance for them.
It is here that DHAN Foundation, with its year of expertise, step in facilitating these linkages with its immense networks and its long-lasting relations with various financial partners.
Last year, on March 5, 2020, DHAN Foundation signed an MoU with Madhya Pradesh Gramin Bank (M.P.G.B.) for intensifying branch-based bank linkages.
As per this linkage methodology, a complete focus would be on an individual branch of the bank and a range of financial activities such as branch account opening, PMJJBY, SBY and individual member accounts along with linkage applications would take place in the single branch. Once the branch is saturated, the focus would be shifted to the next branch and so on.
We have selected around 6 branches for M.P.G.B. for similar activities. For each branch, our main focus is to ensure a minimum of 100 lakhs and a maximum of Rs.250 lakhs as a corpus with a minimum of 600 members depending on the present status of the groups.
In order to celebrate this initiative, our colleagues from Madhya Pradesh, Sailana region, also conducted a range of activities on International Women’s Day in the month of March.
