Federations Fostering Resilience in Thanjavur

Daily Reflection – a platform sharing the institution philosophy and practices – has been commenced virtually in the region in July month. Exempting the containment zones, community organizations regularized group meetings across all locations. In collaboration with the mainstreams and apex institutions, region facilitated loans (livelihood and covid-19 relief) for the members for meeting their subsistence.

Humane side of nested institutions

‘Members with morbidity and co-morbidity and old age members in the region were given special care and attention’

Immunity boosters viz., Kabasura Kudineer has been distributed to the members; staff ensured the follow-ups for the timely in-take of the same. SoMaHa practices have been ensured across all the working locations. Morale building of the members infected with the virus was ensured through daily phone calls. Myths attached to common flu symptoms fearing to be covid-19 were cleared off through awareness programmes. Member families infected where entrusted with groceries, vegetables and fruits for the whole month. Member families falling under vulnerable categories were being supported by remaining members of the nested institutions; morally as well as supplying cooked food.
