From Sangam Age, Thiruparankundram, five km away from Madurai City is an important Heritage place of Tamil Nadu. This place is typical for religious pluralism and the entire hillock in this historic place is famous for its JAIN Monuments, Brahmi Inscriptions and beds, Early Pandya Rock cut temples, Sacred Water bodies. This place is top most important eight hills of Jains of Madurai and important Arupadai Veedu of Lord Muruga. Further it is also having the Sultan Sikkandar badhusha Dharka on the top of the hill.
