Workshop on streamlining community action towards combating COVID 19

On 7th October 2020, programme leaders from Central Office organized a virtual workshop. The agenda for the workshop is, ‘streamlining community action toward combating COVID-19’. Regional and field staff – 65 members – participated in the virtual workshop. The workshop focal agenda was ‘building healthy and livelihoods resilience communities across the region’. Data collection format has been pipelined to regional and field team, to address the co-morbidity status of the member families and to ensure livelihoods upscaling for the member families.



Training for leaders at KVK, Magadi on ‘Self-employment activities for women’

On 10th October 2020, Ramanagara region in collaboration with KVK, Magadi organized training for leaders on ‘self-employment activities for women’. Seventeen participants in the training programme equipped themselves with the concepts of ‘learning on making best out of waste’ (with the easily available materials at home).

World Food Day Celebration

On 16th October 2020, Ramanagara region organized world food day celebrations in collaboration with KVK, Magadi. Leaders, members, staff – total 45 – participated in the celebrations. Members were given awareness on consumption of healthy and nutritious food. A food exhibition was portrayed for creating awareness of the participants.

Mahila Kisan Divas

On 15th October 2020, Ramanagara region in collaboration with KVK Magadi and Agriculture Department celebrated Mahila Kisan Divas. 50 women Kalanjiam farmers participated in the event. Scientists and staff from KVK and Agricultural department disseminated the significant role of women in agriculture addressing the participants. Regional staff distributed COVID kits and drumstick seedlings to the participants.

Training on income generating activities

On 12th October 2020, Ramanagara region in collaboration with Agriculture department created awareness to 40 women Kalanjiam farmers in different income generating activities available in agriculture and allied sector.
