DHAN Panchayat Development Foundation (DPDF) envisages promoting community governance. On 9th October 2020, DPDF organized a virtual meeting with Regional Coordinators. Operationalizing the model panchayats was the focal agenda of the meeting. Executive director and COO of DHAN Foundation, Regional Coordinators, CEO of DPDF along with DPDF team participated in the virtual meet.
Inception documentation for the panchayats, making government entitlements and schemes to reach the community, fostering collaborative efforts for holistic development of the villages and transforming into model panchayats were the key points under discussion.
Regional coordinators of six districts – Dindigul region, Pambar region, Madurai Rural, Cuddalore, Nagapattinam and Kalarayan Hills – will be working in close guidance with the DPDF team in order to finalize the panchayats in their regions and devising action plan for the operationalization of model panchayats.
