World Breastfeeding Week
“Motherhood is the greatest thing and the hardest thing.”
– Ricki Lake
S tarted by World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action in 1992, the goal of World Breastfeeding Week is to encourage moms to breastfeed and spread the word about the benefits of nursing.
SUHAM Institution, with its initiatives and programs, has always promoted the cause of Post Natal Care & breastfeeding among mothers.
Our initiatives have included conducting awareness sessions with Anganwadi centers for the importance of breastfeeding, colostrum feeding, and stressing the importance of breastfeeding for a minimum of 6 months for lactating mothers.
Our initiatives also include awareness of the right nutrition for lactating mothers and newly-born children.
With 1000 - day program we spread the word on necessary health measures for newly born children and mothers.
