W ater tanks have historically been a way to deal with water shortages in parts of India's Tamil Nadu state. But rapid urbanization has destroyed these natural wonders.
Our ancestors designed water tanks in such a way that the past colonies and settlements never had to face water shortages. However, rapid urbanization has changed all of this.
Due to rising urbanization, water body encroachment and misuse have increased. At DHAN Foundation, we are working with communities to restore and maintain water tanks.
