Learning and training are constant needs for any organization in the ever-changing world. Upskilling oneself creates a sense of confidence and it is an essential factor affecting the performance of any organization.
Kalajiam Foundation, a subsidiary of DHAN Foundation has always recognized the same and has strived for constant improvement and upliftment of its associates and members.
Recently, Gulbarga and Yadgir district underwent Livelihood Enterprise Development Program (LEDP) to strengthen their Livelihood activity. The Project is supported and sponsored by NABARD Bangalore .The proposed program was for 300 members of 96 kalanjiam SHGs.The objective of the project is to strengthen the existing livelihood of livestock by inculcating required skills and knowledge, to enhance the productivity of livestock rearing, and to increase income generation through the professional way of livestock management.
The resource persons for the same were scientists from Krishi Vigyan Kendra and professors from agricultural college. Also, we had the presence of an inspector from the veterinary department.

Exposure Visits has been made to Demo units of KVK Kalburgi, Cattle field and Dairy units of Pattana, Gulbarga, and Kadaganchi and Sheep and Goat units of Gobbur for 5 batches of 150 members

After the successful completion of 10 days of training, all 5 batches of Kalanjiam members were provided with a Participation certificate. Shri Ramesh Bhat S, DDM, NABARD, Kalaburagi, Shri Intesar Hussain, AGM, Lead Bank, Kalaburagi, Shri. Kalanjiam Foundation will build the capacities of the members through its associates in the field to have a community banking system in place which will enable them to leverage funds based on their savings with banks for credit and also look forward to the prospects with the resource agencies for marketing tie-ups.
After completion of the training Kalanjiam foundation Gulbarga Will ensure credit linkage to the groups for taking agricultural activities through Canara Bank and KDFS (Kalanjiam Development Financial Services) Madurai, a section 25 company promoted by DHAN foundation
