Orientation Program for Health Associates in Tumkur Region
Training and workshops are indispensable parts of any organization in this ever-changing world. Not only it helps the workforce to stay updated but it also keeps them informed about the changing needs.
In March, the ‘Basic Orientation/Training Program’, was conducted in the Tumkur region, Koratagere Block on 19th and 20th March 2021.Mrs. Palaneeswari, Mr. Sarvanan, Mr. Sarvanan, and Mr. Ari Kumar were present from SUHAM team as trainers.
In the training program, a total of 25 members participated from the Tumkur and Ramnagara region comprising mainly project executives and health associates.
The purpose of the training was to give the basic orientation of SUHAM and its health programs to newly joined health associates. In the two days of intense training, a range of topics was discussed.
The program started with the introduction to Suham Trust- its principles and values. It then moved on to a discussion on community health and nutrition program components, 1000 days care & child malnutrition, health linkage & leverage, safe water & sanitation.
As a part of the program, the participants had an exposure visit to Aanganwadi and PHCs. During the visit, the link and collaboration between these centers with SUHAM became apparent to the participants.
