Glimpses of Rural Development Immersion Appreciation Programme
The key to acquire the vision of rural development must start with the process of empathizing with the life of rural fellow beings. It is with this vision that The DHAN Academy conducts Development Immersion Programme since 2011 with the sole aim to sensitize the participating individuals on poverty and development issues in rural and urban areas through experiential learning.
This year too, a similar immersion program was held on 26th March at The DHAN Academy.
This year the immersion program was divided into two modules. The first module was based on poverty and livelihoods development and its status, challenges, and prospects. The second module consisted of a village visit to understand poverty and livelihoods at the village level. It was followed by presentations from field visits. The session ended with certificate distribution and valedictory.
