Prevailing Pandemic proclaims people’s participations and partnership to come together, to work together and to support one another. DHAN Foundation across 14 states partnering with local NGOs, Health and Asha workers, local Panchayats, Homeopathy clinics, CSRs and individual donors pooled-up Rs. 27.08 lakhs and supplied grocery kits to more than 3630 families, distributed 12120 masks, dispensed 1535 Kabasura Kudineer packets and created livelihood opportunity worth Rs. 5.38 lakhs (cumulative) to its members.
Adilabad
Through crowd funding from individual donors, DHAN Foundation distributed grocery kits worth Rs. 6.60 lakhs reaching out to 1573 member families across the nine working location in the region. Mr. Bhavesh Misra, IAS, Project Officer of Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) participated in grocery kits distribution in Utnoor mandal. DHAN Foundation in collaboration with National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Ltd. (NAFED) facilitated the sale of Red gram produce of 78 farmers in the Ghatanji block of Adilabad region, Telangana state. This generated an income of Rs. 1.63 lakhs to 78 farmers.
DHAN Foundation has partnered with local Bramha Samaj Committee and generated a fund amounted to Rs. 4.63 lakhs in Asifabad location of Telangana. The mobilized funds were utilized in procuring and distributing the grocery kits to all the vulnerable sections in the location.
Aurangabad
DHAN Foundation in collaboration with local NGOs along with the SHG federations contributions’ has distributed grocery kits worth of Rs. 28,280 to the needy families in the Vaijapur and Khultabad locations of Maharashtra.
Nanded
DHAN Foundation partnering with local NGOs supplied grocery kits worth Rs. 57,000 to 57 Kalanjiam families in two villages, and distributed 120 masks to Kalanjiam families in Nanded region of Maharashtra.
Tirupur
DHAN Foundation has partnered with rotary club and red cross society and supplied 1535 Kabasura Kudineer packets to the Kalanjiam families in Tirupur region of Tamil Nadu. DHAN Foundation in collaboration with the local Homeopathy clinic supplied Arsenicum Album 30 tablets to the Kalanjiam families in the region. Furthermore, Homeopathy clinic agreed to supply 5000 Arsenicum Album 30 tablets for free of cost or charging minimum cost to the Kalanjiam members in Tirupur region of Tamil Nadu.
Vijayapur
DHAN Foundation in collaboration with health department and local Asha workers supplied 12000 masks. Furthermore, engaged all the local health workers and Asha workers to deeply root the preventive mantra ‘SoMaHa’ by organizing door-to-door orientation on maintaining the social distance, wearing masks and significance of hand washing. In addition to this, during the SoMaHa door-to-door campaign, members in the household were checked for temperature and any notable flu symptoms in Vijayapur region of Karnataka.
Gundar
DHAN Foundation in collaboration with local panchayats in the Gundar region of Tamil Nadu planted 3965 tree saplings in 13 villages of Mudukulathur block, creating employment for its members, generating 1324 labour days with a cumulative income of Rs. 5.38 lakhs for the members.
Visakhapatnam
DHAN Foundation in collaboration with Technip India Ltd, Tata Relief Committee and Reliance Foundation received Rs. 15 lakhs for distributing 2000 dry ration kits in Visakhapatnam region of Andhra Pradesh.
Warangal
The Warangal team has created livelihood to its members by engaging them in MGNREGA works - three watershed mini percolation tanks, one dug out pond and one farm pond – creating a livelihood for 50 members, generating an income of Rs. 80,000 in Gambhiraopet location, Warangal region of Telangana. In addition, livelihood loan cheque of Rs. 18,000 to six beneficiaries was distributed in the location.
