On 23rd June 2020, 2nd Advisory meeting on Point Calimere Wetland study has been organized through virtual mode, wherein the technical and study team of DHAN Foundation participated for the way forward on the insights suggested by the GIZ team on, ‘Enabling Community in Local Action to Combat Covid-19’, project which covers Ramnad, Pudhukottai and Tanjore districts of Tamil Nadu. Way forward of the meeting concluded with arriving at a holistic approach for the comprehensive development via agriculture development for marginal farmers, supporting the fringe fishermen communities, LIFE (Livelihoods Initiatives with Functional Education) for the Labourers of Salt & Aquaculture, Backyard Nutrition Garden (BNG), Green Cover Intervention, Awareness Building and Capacity building on wetland ecosystems.
