Building Health Resilient Communities

Across the five ecosystems – Kurinji (Mountain Ecosystem), Mullai (Forest & Rainfed Ecosystem), Marudham (Wetland Ecosystem), Neidhal (Coastal Ecosystem) and Paalai (Dryland Ecosystem), – where DHAN is operational – communities have their own way of doing things – way of life – which perpetuates the overall wellbeing of the families in the communities. DHAN’s decades of connectedness with the communities at the grassroots always believed in this inhabitants’ wisdom and indigenous practices. Through its various thematic interventions, DHAN always ensured to keep the wisdom intact, enabling the communities for way forward, for the benefit of the future generations.
One of the special focuses of DHAN’s adaptation phase is zero downing the mortality among the members. The primacy is to give special attention toward co-morbid members. Identifying the co-morbidity status among the members and member families has been on-going since adaptation phase.
