Distribution of gloves and hand sanitiser to Frontline cleanliness workers
E very conflict has its own share of unsung heroes. The heroes who make all the difference but are forgotten in the memory lanes. This battle against the coronavirus has its own share of unsung heroes, particularly those, who kept our country running while we lived in the safety of our homes.
Primary amongst these unsung heroes are sanitary workers who despite all odds strive to keep the country clean. Our colleagues from Kalanjiam’s Vizag region decided to do their bit for these selfless workers.
With the financial support of Reliance Foundation, around 5000 hand gloves and 2000 sanitisers were distributed to the cleanliness workers in places like Sanjeevayya colony, Kunchamma colony, Chinna waltair and Maddilapalem.
Also, around 2000 grocery kits were distributed to the Kalanjiam Members as a part of relief activity by the Kalanjiam Vizag region.
Distribution of face shields to Street vendors
With the financial support of Technip energies, Auto Nagar, 500 face shields and 1000 face masks were distributed to the street vendors whose livelihood is at serious risk during this pandemic. This helped them to work and earn to feed their family in these difficult times. Without them, others can't have a safe quarantine in their homes!
With the support of Technip energies - Auto Nagar, around 500 face shields and 1000 face masks were distributed to the street vendors. Securing the lives of street vendors is important, especially, when they face more risk of exposure to infection given the nature of their work.
Distribution of Medical Kits to vulnerable Communities in Vizag with the support of Technip Energies
Also, medical kits were distributed to the vulnerable community to strengthen their fight against the pandemic. Around 100 thermometers and pulse oximeters were distributed as a part of the drive at Auto nagar, Malkapuram. The distribution was held with the support of Technip Enterprises.
Relief Activities to COVID infected poor families in villages in Vizag
With the support of the Reliance Foundation, Vizag Kalanjiam federation distributed around 200 ration kits to COVID-infected poor families, elderlies and to street vendors around the villages of Chintalova, Kakarlova, Prakash Nagar, Durga Nagar, Akc, JC, Kapparada and Gkp in Vizag. Also, 500 sanitary kits and hand gloves were distributed to cleanliness workers.
