Shramdhan by youth
D HAN CURE team and local college students participated in “shramdaan”, for two days. The team spent early morning hours, learning gardening skills, de-weeding, watering, and maintaining the plantations done in Adavi-Urban Sacred Grove in Madurai Kamraj University. This also involved with the workers appointed from the community. A session was held for the college students to make them understand the socio-cultural aspects related to sacred groves and sensitize them for biodiversity conservation and local flora and fauna. The event also involved the plantation of 15 tree saplings in the sacred groves.
