Rural Immersion Programme
A A stay with the community always makes the younger generation understand and appreciate the `way of life’ of the people at the grassroots. Education becomes wise when it gets converted into action for the common cause. Thus, the Rural Immersion program offered by The Dhan Academy helps the students to connect their studies with the purpose intended.
Students from VIT School of Agricultural Innovations and Advanced Learning (VAIAL), Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore have undergone a 6 days Rural Immersion Programme with The Dhan Academy. The focus of this immersion program is to sensitize the students on the aspects related to farmers, agriculture, water, and irrigation management. This program is designed to educate the students in a comprehensive and engaging way through simulation games, interactive lectures, exposure visits, interaction with farmers, and doing Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) Tools.
