Fishery Training in Munger
F ishery training was conducted at various locations at Munger to impart fishing techniques to the participants and empower the Vayalagam members with the right approach required for inland fishing.
Munger region boasts of around 45 renovated ponds for the members of the Vayalagam, thus making an ideal place for inland fisheries.
The training was conducted with the support of the ITC and the fisheries department.
Around 273 individuals participated in the event.
The main focus was to enable farmers to get basic information about fish rearing. Topics like the type of pond, feed for fish, medicine for fish, diseases, etc. were discussed.
