Virtual Heritage Walk - Historic Chinnamanur of Theni District:
C hinnamanur (Traditional name is Harikesarinallur) is a historic place exists on the traditional trade route to Madurai (95 Km) from Kerala. Further named as Chinnamanur to honor Mr.Chinnamanaicker who has been worked as a guard of the Queen Rani Mangammal during Nayak period. The early Pandya Siva temple namely Poolanandeeswarar Temple with 27 Inscriptions of various Pandya kings (Alanattin Brahmadeyamana Harikesarinallurin Rajasimmeshwaramudaiyar Temple) and Laxminarayana Perumal Temple are important Tangible Heritage sites of Chinnamanur. This Agricultural place is famous for its Paddy, Banana and Grapes. The Historic Chinnamanur Copper plate is now available in U.K. The resource lecture will be delivered by Dr.G.Sethuraman Art Historian and Dr.V.Vedachalam Archaeologist.
