Glimpses of Online Event on World Environment Day
O n the eve of world environment day, virtual celebrations were marked by the CURE department with informative events for young boys and girls.
A webinar on generation restoration was organised for adolescents boy and girl groups. Totally 60 students participated. For the purpose of creating awareness in the ecosystem and its importance in restoration, few virtual games like home shopping and world building were conducted to the participants. Later, the participants were exposed about Madurai and its environment through virtual mode. Participants actively participated and received positive feedback.

A technical session was organized by The DHAN Academy on the topic ‘Trees-Nature’s Oxygen generator’ by Dr. Stephen ,Assistant Professor, American College Madurai. He presented about various trees grown in different ecosystems starting from sea to mountains, evolution of oxygen, benefits of trees and also covered topics on air pollution , air quality of Madurai. He also highlighted how oxygen is human’s lifeline and it can be only generated by trees. Mr. A. Gurunathan , Director TDA facilitated the event.
