ESSAY WRITING / DRAWING COMPETITION

Essay Writing Competition

Water is Elixir of life. Conserving water is everyone's responsibility. Madurai Marathon is organised on 13th January 2008 to promote the values of water, its efficient use and protection of heritage water bodies.

Madurai Marathon invites College students to participate in the ESSAY WRITING / DRAWING COMPETITIONS on the following Topics.

Topic 1: URBANIZATION AND WATER BODIES

Topic 2: HEALTH AND DRINKING WATER

Topic 3: SAFE DRINKING WATER: POSSIBILITIES, CONSTRAINTS AND MEASURES

Topic 4: WATER BODIES POLLUTIONS: STATUS, SOURCES AND SOLUTIONS

Topic 5: WATER BODIES: LIVING HERITAGE

Topic 6: TEMPLE TANKS

Drawing Competition

College students shall participate in the drawing competitions to be organised at District level on the topics mentioned above. The drawing Competition will be held on January 6, 2008 at Fathima College, Madurai.

RULES AND SPECIFICATIONS

1. Essays to be submitted in own handwriting on A4 Size (21 x 28cm) Sheets.
   
2. Drawings / Paintings to be submitted in A3 Size (30 x 42 cm) chart papers.
   
3. Entries to be attested as OWN WORK by the competent College authorities.
   
4. Multiple entries are allowed, but each person is entitled to only one prize.
   
5. Contributions submitted are not returnable. Madurai Marathon will reproduce, publish or exhibit them appropriately.
   
6. The judges' decisions are final and no correspondence will be entertained.

PRIZES

Attractive Prizes will be awarded to first three places in each category.

Selected essays / drawings will be published in a booklet and exhibited in future public exhibitions by Madurai Marathon.

The prizes for the winners will be given on January 13, 2008 the day of Madurai Marathon.
