Pongal is an annual celebration of harvest usually falls on 14th or 15th of January dedicated to nature, sun and bulls. It’s also a state ancient festival of Tamil Nadu. It also celebrated as Makara Sankranti in many states of India. Pongal is also the dish name made with a mixture of boiled sweet rice and it’s derived from the tamil word “Pongu”, which means “to boil over”. This year the Pongal was celebrated across regions in Tamil Nadu and Kerala as follows.

Pongal celebration brings our staff and community together. The event was celebrated with the traditional Pongal cooking and making competitions like millet cooking recipe competition, rangoli competition, tug war, pot breaking, lemon in the spoon, children’s running race etc.,
