Development immersion Programmes (DIP)

Development Immersion Programmes is designed for Management students for a duration of ten to twelve days with the village stay of four days with community. And also one day visit to various organisations who are working on different social issues and uplifting them. Class room sessions also covers various development concepts and successful intervention measures from small scale to large scale, from region specific to state/country specific.

The expected outcomes envisaged of this programme are

  1. Students would promote ‘Development Forum’ in their colleges/institutes to organise development dialogues, take action on the development issues, and keep continuing field connectivity.

  2. Students would adopt select villages and communities for servicing them through select activities and institutionalise the same in the institute for continuity

  3. Students would undertake charity activities and voluntary services by spending time with the communities in listening to their stories and finding ways to support them.

  4. Undertake internships with Development NGOs to develop a project and pilot the same for grassroots experience.

  5. Deviants to opt out of regular placement and take career in the development sector for direct action with the communities either in CSR foundation or in NGOs.

  6. Become a social entrepreneur by initiating own development organisation for direct grassroots action
