Sixth Annual Meeting of abc

Sixth Annual Meeting of abc is scheduled on 14-17, December 2016 at Kerala, India. The Annual Meeting is hosted by DHAN Foundation, India. Theme of the annual meet is “Agricultural Biodiversity for Climate Resilience”. The annual meeting will be followed up by a knowledge building workshop on “Farmers-led Agricultural Biodiversity Conservation for resilience: Learning lessons for future practice on the fourth day (30th November 2016) to take forward abc to next level.

FOCUS

The first three days of the annual meeting will focus on:

First day would be a day of field visit to see agricultural biodiversity initiatives taken up by development organisations in Wayanad area of Kerala.

On the fourth day (30th November 2016), Knowledge Building Workshop is organised on “Farmers-led Agricultural Biodiversity Conservation for resilience: Learning lessons for future practice.

VENUE

The meet is organised at the premises of Wayanad Social Service Society (WSSS) at Mananthavady of Wayanad district. The venue is PASTORAL Centre, Dwaraka, Mananthavady, which is 115 kilometers away from Kozhicode/Calicut international airport (3 hours drive by Car). Other nearby airports situated 250 to 300 kilometres away are Bengaluru, and Cochin international airports. Nearby railway station is Nadapuram Road (69 KM) and Mysore junction (114 KM).
