The Foundation has been promoted with the objective of bringing highly motivated and educated young women and men to the development sector. They would work on bringing out new innovations in development and for upscaling development interventions to eradicate poverty in vast areas of the country. The Foundation is working in a big way with the poor through interventions in microfinance and natural resource management. Currently there are over 600 staff from reputed institutions in various disciplines such as agriculture, engineering, management and finance working with us, of whom 40% are female staff. They are reaching out to nearly four lakhs poor families spread over 8000 villages in the states of TamilNadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Pondicherry, Madhya Pradesh and Orissa.
